Useful App ...

As a mom of a preschooler, I have been on the forefront when it comes to my daughter’s homework. I am always beside her when she answers her worksheet. Also, they always have a sheet that contains words which they are requested to practice reading. At this moment, they are reading words with ae, ee, long a etc. And when we read this numerous words my daughter would asked me to define each and one of them. Also some words are not familiar to me that I don’t know if I am pronouncing them right. So, what I did was to download the Merriam Webster apps. This really helps because it not only has definition it also pronounce the word. When my daughter saw me using it, she requested to used it too. But I told her no since I don’t want her to used shortcut.

What Laptop? ...

A friend of mine is asking me if Toshiba laptops are okay because she has toshiba coupons and would want to used them. I told them there are okay and I have not heard any negative feedback yet about them. But I also told her that buying a computer/laptop should be based on her need. Also she have to check the specifications. Right now, in our house I have a HP desktop, MacBook PRO, and a LENOVO netbook. My desktop is used for work, MacBook Pro for some video editing that I am experimenting (hopefully soon I can venture to developing application) and the LENOVO netbook since it has a defective keyboard is used for downloading. The desktop and netbook are my choice but the MacBook is a gift from the husband. And yes, before buying them I checked on their specs.

Free Calls ...

Today, in the small gathering of my fellow moms in school, we were talking about the different application they can used in there phone. The model of our phones varies. Most of them uses BlackBerry and Nokia. I think I am the only one using an iPhone, all of them are not familiar with VIBER. Of course, I would forever be grateful for this APP. Since we started using it our telephone bill has gone down tremendously. The husband no longer have to pay huge bill for his phone abroad while us on the other hand have no add on expenses on our landline and cellular phone. I was even able to lock my NDD and IDD. So, I am trying to promote this app to them but unfortunately as of this writing, VIBER for BB is still on the work. I don’t know for SYMBIAN. But I told them if they are planning to buy new phone, I would recommend either getting an iPhone or any ANDROID phone because of its extensive apps market.

Another Home! ...

We finally paid the equity of our house in Antipolo in full. I haven’t talked yet to the developer so I don’t know what to do next. But based on what we previously talked they would start the construction soon while I prepare my pagibig account to start paying the home loan. I don’t what will happen but I am very thankful that we have accomplished another goal. I really wanted to acquire lots of real estate, it’s a good investment I think. I really don’t plan on decorating it nor buying hot tub covers for our new house because we planned to rent it and earn some bucks from it. Hopefully the rent would be enough to pay the monthly amortization. After this, I hope we can buy a lot and start building another house from scratch. That’s one of husband’s greatest wish. And hopefully we can achieved it.

My daughter passed her exam in St. Scho, she is admitted for Grade one under conditional basis. She’s only 5 and 11 months on June. I am still considering Assumption and Miriam but friends tell me that it might be too late, said schools might have already given exams for Grade one. I am happy right now with my daughter’s school. Based on the result of her exam, she is at par with student her age. And I am still contemplating if we would go the traditional way or stick with the progressive/montessori approach since I think she is responding very well to it. I am still on the stage of considering my options. But, Smallville Montessori, the school where my daughter is currently enrolled in preschool will now offer Grades one to three this coming school year. What I like about this school is that they have small population. My daughter is in her last stage of preschool and they are only four in the class (including her). They deal with the students individually, assessed them on what they know and what they learned and from there they would be guiding their student step by step. Teachers know their students by heart. And most of all, they are open to suggestions if you talk to them the proper way. And their school has a homey feel. If you wanted to know more about them you can visit their fanpage in FB

Chores to do ...

I have a long list of things to do but unfortunately I have not cross out anything yet. Imagine, even going to the grocery is not yet done. I have to stock up first and buy all the necessary stuff that have run out in our household. Actually I was able to buy water and LPG already so there I have accomplished even it’s small. I told myself that I would pat my shoulder even if it’s just a small achievement because it would help me go on the next task. Right now, I have to pay all the dues and talked to the real estate agent for the house in Antipolo. I also have to look up companies that provides equipment lease. Then also, I have to weigh my decision about the school of my daughter plus I should start looking for summer activities for her and start planning our summer getaway. Yehey! I am also looking forward to the husband’s vacation this March also the week of Lent. I would definitely make the most for 2012.

Our Bucket ...

Our Jollibee bucket was delivered yesterday. My brother have informed me that the staff from Jollibee are already asking when we are going to be back because they need to deliver the bucket. Yesterday when I call their hotline, after a few minutes I received a call from one of their delivery crew. He told me that he is going to deliver it thirty minutes after they deliver my order. This bucket serves as a payment for the tarpaulin that is in our gate. It’s been there already for a year and according to the crew it would be there for a very long time. I jokingly asked him if the bucket can be changed to other order but he just smiled. haha.

Loaning Online For Your Home ...

Purchasing a home is the lynch pin of the American Dream. After all, that white picket fence, dog, and two kids, wouldn’t make a lot of sense without a special place to call home. For first time home buyers, the process is almost a rite of passage, while those with previous experience can use shopping for a new home as a tangible way to measure their success. However, whether you are a fledgling buyer or an old hand, understanding the process of purchasing a home — and how the Internet has improved that process — can be enormously beneficial.

Getting Ready ...

I have tons of work to do when I get back. I think the first thing to do when we arrived home is to do some cleaning and grocery shopping because the next day would be classes for the little one already. Then I have to go to different government agencies which I am not looking forward to. But before all of this I have to endure the flight. I am not looking forward to it because being on the plane for about eight straight hours always give me aches if we are flying via economy. I choose economy to save some money :) Oh Lord, please guide me on our trip.
