When the land title was handed to us, I just stared at it for a few seconds. It was surreal! Owning our own house is part of our plan but getting it earlier than what we expect is really something that we are thankful for. When the real estate agent gave me the certificate and all the documents, she was telling me it was really time to celebrate. Well, she also have a hefty commission from the sale you know. lol. But of course, that is just the start. We still have a long way to go. And one of this is making sure that we are able to come up with the monthly payments. haha. At 15 years old, I lost both my papa and mommy due to sickness. At that time, my brother is already working in the Metro and my sister has just graduated from college. Both my siblings have been spending their weekdays away from our house in the province and have familiarized themselves in living in Metro Manila. At this point, since I am incoming freshman in college and have decided to enroll myself in one of the universities in Manila, we decided we will look for an apartment in Manila and settle from there. I think that decision was made because we somehow wanted to detached our self from the bitter memories of losing our parents. This started the days of renting for me.
