Glass Bottom Boat ...

glassbottomboat

On our third day we were scheduled for the glass bottom boat in the afternoon. We spend the morning playing on the beach. If you have kids, try the glass bottom boat they will surely like it especially if they are a big fan of the movie finding nemo. The boat that we rode has a glass floor. You can see the corals and fishes right through it. The spot where the boat will stopped looks like a seen from the movie Finding Nemo. Really you can see clown fishes, dory and other fishes plus corals. Then the staff will let you snorkel and will give you bread so that the fish will come to you. Also they got some starfish and sea urchin. It was a nice experience. After the ride, my daughter played with two kids on the beach. We also had a nice chat with their parents who are Australian and Chinese.

Boracay Vacation Day 2 ( Crystal Cov ...

It was a gloomy day for day 2. It’s drizzling when we went out to get our hair braided. We spent 150 each for our hair. And it was a good decision since it kept our hair intact while we sail the sea. On our way to Crystal Cove, my heart was pounding since I got scared whenever we hit a bump in the sea. It was so wavy because of the LPA. But thankfully we got to our destination. There was a bit of rain and the wind was blowing a bit strong. I was joking that I don’t want to go by sea. I just wanted to go back through a jeep. lol. Really I was so scared that the husband has to distract me by asking me where to buy baby monitor. haha. That got me off guard that I end up laughing. But as the waves hit our boat I again feel the butterflies in my stomach while my father and daughter are enjoying our trip. We went to Crystal Cove, my husband and daughter went down to the two caves and played with water. Here is one of the view :

Parasailing in Boracay ...

I planned our activity in Boracay so that we can maximize our vacation. Since we arrived early we still have the afternoon to allot for something. So, I choose parasailing. I search in the net of the activities to do and since my husband loves to try different things I know this will fit him. I booked the activity through the website. I paid Php 2000 to them. Here’s a piece of advise. Don’t book online for activities in Boracay! I feel ripped off because when I asked around the parasailing only cost Php 1,300. Just ask around. There are so many locals out there who will be willing to take you and you can lower the price.

Grand Prix Boracay ...

grand prix

To be honest, I have mixed emotions regarding our accommodations. I booked through a travel agency and he told me we would be staying in Grand Prix. I googled and so many articles about it. Seems the owner was able to capitalized internet advertising :) We got cheap rates so I was not expecting royal treatment. A week before our vacation I was contemplating of booking another hotel. haha. The husband is a bit picky when it comes to hotel. So I already briefed him that our accommodations might fall to his standard. haha. I told him I choose accommodations that have lower rates because I planned to splurged on the island activity. It’s not we are staying in the hotel for the whole day and would try to have some audio conferencing. You get my drift?

Our Boracay Vacation (Day 1) ...

Now I have time to blog :) Okay, a day before our Boracay trip I heard that there is a LPA in the Surigao area. I said, oh oh and prayed. We have an early morning trip at around 8am so we have to be in the airport by 6am. That means we have to leave the house around 4:30. I called Basic Taxi as always to send us to the airport (their rate is Php 600). Around 3am I was already awake and doing some last minute preparation. I already heard that the taxi is outside the house. He is early. No traffic of course on our way to the airport and we were able to eat our breakfast there. Though we are bit disappointed with our orders. Our flight was on schedule and I was surprised that the airplane was not full. We were flying via Airphil express (our first time). Before we were always using Cebu Pacific but because of all the complains that I read on their fanpage I decided to try the competition. We bought ballpen, key chain and the miniature airplane. haha. Talk about shopping already. We reach the Kalibo airport and it was raining. We have to be in the air for another 10 minutes or so because it was raining so hard. I had a hard time going down the stairs. I was so afraid that I might trip down. lol. The bus, boat and another land transpo took about 2 hours or more. It beat the land transpo that we had for our Coron vacation ha. When we reach our accommodation we were already hungry. Good thing, the restaurants are every where in Boracay. We are in Station 1 and we just walked to Gerry’s Grill for the sinigang for the little girl. Here are some pictures our our first morning in the island.
