Being a Teacher ...
Being a teacher is a tough job. Yesterday I was given an opportunity to stay at the little girl’s school (because she has a fever and the teacher asked me if I could let her join the class picture taking and then just leave when its over) I was really amazed by the patience that the two teachers have shown. Imagine a bunch of three to four year old and making them sit still for even just a few minutes! When one is already settled, another one would think of something that would destabilized the harmony that was already created. hahaha. In the end they have spend around one hour and still no decent picture. They end up letting the kids play and pose at the playground.
I was thinking at that time that being a teacher really is a devotion. It entails a lot of dedication. What I saw is just part of the job, teachers still have to take care of other stuff like preparing their lesson plans. I know this is a huge task since what the students will learn on the four walls of the classroom would be based on how prepared the teacher is. And that is where the lesson plan played a role. Lesson plans outline what the teacher will impart with the student and how will she conduct her lesson. I am quite familiar with it since my in laws (mother and brother) are teachers. Now, when I showed them the lessonplans.teacherlingo.com website they are quite happy and a bit surprised because they did not know that there is such a site like this. TeacherLingo is an online community for teachers, it’s a place for them on the web wherein they can share their thoughts. And what’s more they offer free lessons for all education and subject levels. Now, that’s what I call teacher’s pet!
