Learning Chinese ...
My husband has been asking me to teach the little girl on how to speak Chinese. No, we are not from a Chinese descent but since Mandarin has been widely used today in the business world he was telling me that it would be a big advantage if one knows how to speak it. And also right now we cannot deny the fact that in our country most of the well established leader in the financial field are Chinese. Unfortunately, even if I’d like to start the education I cannot seem to find time. And also, I think it’s too early for her to learn another language.
I wanted to make her learning fun and on an easy pace. Learning Chinese is a bit hard. I know because I have a cousin who speak Chinese and once have tried teaching me the basic like ABCs and numbers. Her father is Chinese so for her it comes out naturally. But for me, we never moved up to a much complicated thing. haha. Now, she is telling me that her daughter is having difficulty as well. Her child knows the basic but is having a hard time comprehending the complicated stuff. I suggested that she try this Chinese Mnemonic Dictionary that I saw at MandarinMnemonics.com. The website though not for beginners can help one learn Chinese through mnemonic. Since they are done with the basic stage and are now trying to read in Chinese, I think her daughter will like it!
