Despite my refusal the husband bought a car. According to him, we can accomplish many things if we have a vehicle to send us where we want to go. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this would really help us. And it would be our first step into having a business. Frankly I don’t have any idea what business I would like to pursue. I think software promotion is nice but I don’t know if I have the guts to do it. Truth is I am feeling the pressure of motherhood and coming up with the idea of what business we are going to establish. I wanted to help the husband and I am praying that god will lead me to what we should do.
Right now I am so tired and I just did some cleaning and washing. This week my body aches because of the long drive I am doing as part of my lessons in driving. Now, I have the chance to clean up and boy our house is really dirty. I wish this week I would be able to clean the bathroom and our living room. And hopefully after having word with my daughter she would be able to clean up after playing. Sometimes the mess really irritates me that I end up scolding her. Lord give me some more strength.
Despite the fact that is a bit expensive I decided to extend my driving lessons. This week I was able to drive a automatic sedan for seven hours. In the last day, I was able to drive in the highway. I would want to celebrate and buy a box of cigars but I am not a smoker. lol. But really I wanted to dance and shout that I made it without a scratch. Of course, I have the instructor with me. But it was a big accomplishment on my part. I can now control the car. And yes, I try to used the innova already though on our garage only. Next week hopefully I can drive on my own.
In 2007, I enrolled myself in driving lesson. At the time we have our manual Mazda 323. Since the husband was not here I decided I would learn to drive and used the car. I got five hour lesson, one hour a day I think. Unfortunately, after the lessons I hit the side of the car in the wall and I got scared to drive again. Now, the husband bought us a car. I don’t have a choice but to drive it. And so I enrolled myself again this time I used A1. On the first two hours (my first day) I already saw the big difference between the two driving school. In 2A the instructor did not even bother to explain the basic to me. As for A1 they give out all the technique and explained why you have to do it. Now, I am hoping I would be able to drive without any accident.
I know driving a car is much easier that riding a horse. And I don’t need to buy saddle pads but just be focus when I am driving and everything will fall into place. I am a nervous wreck right now although our car will delivered on Wednesday and my driving lessons will start in Thursday. I still have to get my student permit and attend an orientation. I don’t know I still need to attend an orientation. My driving lesson is worth Php 7200 but according to the receptionist there rate will increase next week since they can no longer maintain their old rate because of the fuel increase. Really I am praying that I can handle driving properly. I would be driving a brand new car and I am inexperienced. And I still have to get my student permit and my driver’s license. Huh! Pressure! Pressure!
Oh..oh, this mommy will face another challenge this week. If I could I don’t want to go about it but I don’t have a choice. The husband bought us a car and I have to drive it already. I know how to drive but I don’t have the confidence. The last time I tried to drive I put a dent in our old car and the lights went out. lol. Now, I have the pressure..opps..pleasure of driving a brand new car. That’s why even if it’s expensive I have enrolled myself again in a driving school but only for seven hours. I do hope I won’t be facing some accidents in the future. Oh Lord please be with me always.
Since my goal for summer is for our daughter to enjoy her time spending it outdoors and not holed up in a classroom, we started going to my older brother’s place where a lot of kids are. And I am so happy to see my daughter happy and sweaty. lol. If you asked me I would rather be indoors while enjoying the cool breeze of two or three Hunter ceiling fans than be under the heat of the sun. Yet, I know we won’t be enjoying summer if we just watch tv or surf the net. So every afternoon we are outdoors. While the little girl is playing with other kids I take some time to walk and jog. This way, our daughter is learning some street games like an ordinary kids. And sharpening her skills in speaking Filipino. haha.
The little girl’s school has summer activities for Arts and Culinary. Also they have reading program but that is exclusive for Smallville Kids only. Their summer program is worth Php 5k which includes all materials for art classes and all ingredients for culinary. I decided not to enroll her for this summer because I just want her a break from school. I was planning to enroll her in Kumon or Enopi but I changed my mind. For this year, I decided for her to enjoy summer outdoors. And the husband agrees with me. So now we are always outdoor.
Unfortunately the place where my daughter have her swimming lessons every summer have done some major renovation and when we visited it I was surprised to know that they are now charging Php 6500 for swimming lesson. Well according to them it is justifiable since they would give the money back if the kid won’t be able to learn. And based on what I have seen the renovation really makes the place beautiful. They now have two pool and then a gym and a restaurant. I wonder if we would rent the place if we can used grills. I so wanted to buy and used an outdoor grills at GrillsDirect.com. I am still thinking if I should enroll my daughter there or try other venues like :
My daughter was able to finished her kiddie crew activity with Mc Donalds in the second week of April. For Php 550, it was worth it since the kids were given free shirts, cap, bag and id. Plus everyday they have snacks. But unfortunately my little girl was not able to enjoy the activity very much because the crew that teach them speaks Filipino. Sometimes he does not give notice to kids who asked for his help. I am just thankful that her older cousin was with her. Anyway, aside from Mc Donalds there are other fast food restaurants that have this program. Based on my knowledge, Fridays also have this kind of activity. There’s is Php 1000 for I think five days. If you are interested Robinson’s Supermarket also has this program, they will asked you to pay Php 250. So, if you are looking for some programs to keep your kids busy go try them.
