While cooking chopsuey this morning, I am regretting the fact that I did not bought a bigger non stick pan when we were on the mall. The non stick pan were on sale but I don’t want the quality. You see my sister already gave me a Sunnex non stick but it did not last long. The black paint wore off and since I am worried that the rest of the paint would mixed with the food, I discontinue using it. Then I found one in SM. It’s just small but it’s heavy. I used it to fry eggs, bacon, ham and sautee small amount of veggies in it. I want a bigger one of that type. The question is how much is it? I bought that pan for Php 3k and it’s just small. But I guess, it’s really is a good investment. And I love using it. Maybe, when I have enough funds I would definitely buy one.
Web Hosting ...
In one of our conversation in school, my fellow moms learned what I do for a living. Actually I don’t really call it a job but rather some sort of stint where in I do something and got some funds from it. Of course, since most of us wives would want to help our husband despite the fact that they are at home they were eager to learn. I end up discussing what I do in a term that I know they would understand. I tried my best to avoid using technical terms because I know they will just end up confused. But I know one way or the other if they are going to take the plunge, they would be learning the ropes of the world wide web. Especially when it comes to their web hosting choices.
Marinated ...
Ever since I got my blood pressure problem I have been monitoring my food intake. I no longer used pork in cooking and if I crave for meat, I used beef or chicken. I do cook chicken meals almost every week because it’s my daughter’s favorite. But as much as possible since I fear that she might develop what they call ‘chicken skin’, I find some menu that would be pleasing to her taste buds. And so I tried yellow fin. I saw a simple recipe wherein all you have to do is marinate the yellow fin and then bake it. Simple! And it’s yummy! For the first time, my little girl was able to consume a slice of yellow fin. She prefer bangus and tilapia, you see. According to my sister, it’s delicious. The marinate was just right.
Car Warranty ...
The husband and I are discussing the possibility of buying a new car at the end of the year. I am still apprehensive about the idea because our first plan is we are going to fly to Kuwait to be with him from November to January. And that would involve a huge cash out. But because of the activities of the little girl now that she is active in school and have after school curriculars, the husband was telling me it’s due time to have a car. And would you believe that our little girl kept on asking me ‘Mommy, why don’t we have a car?’. There was also a time wherein she said she does not want to ride her school bus because she wants to ride in a car similar to her classmates ( a spacious van). Imagine, our little girl! So the daddy would want to please her daughter and is now urging me to put my driving skills to test. lol.
Chopsuey according to my friend Wiki (lol!) is a Chinese dish consisting of meats (often chicken, fish, beef, shrimp or pork), cooked quickly with vegetables such as bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery and bound in a starch-thickened sauce. It is typically served with rice but can become the Chinese-American form of chow mein with the addition of stir-fried noodles. And my older sister has been asking me to cook one for her. But just thinking of cooking chopsuey makes me lazy. For one, it has a lot of veggie ingredients. I have to go to the market to pick them out one by one. It seems a huge effort for just a simple menu. lol.

Are you searching for web templates as beautiful as the one above? Well, search is over! I found a site that has a lot of templates that would surely fit your requirements. Ginataang Mais ...
Last week I was able to cook Inangit and fried it. I got the desired taste and have bring me back to the day that Mommy was cooking it for us. My sister enjoyed eating it too. And because of this I thought of making some more native delicacies. Since I have a pack of sweet corn in the refrigerator I thought of cooking Ginaatang Mais. So I searched the internet for the recipe and saw the ingredients : 4 cups coconut milk, 1 cup malagkit and 1 cup corn and 3/4 sugar. Unfortunately, this recipe seems to sweet for my taste. I was able to cook the ginataan but I have to put in some water because it is really sweet. Not sure if it’s beacause I put in a lot of corn. Still I was happy to eat it. I still have malagkit so I think I might be cooking Inangit again this week.
Better Bathrooms ...
I don’t know what’s with bathrooms but they say to know the level of cleanliness of a person one should inspect her/his bathroom at home. I guess that is the reason why I always makes it a point that I have a clean one. I don’t want to leave an impression that I am one messy person. lol. But you know what I learned something as a mom. It’s hard to keep a bathroom clean all the time especially if you have a toddler in the house who loves to run around without slippers and likes to splash water. Get the grip? Well, I know this stage would pass. Yet, I cannot help but be dismayed to see the floor of our bath wet and sometimes dirty.
I guess, I have to make do for now. But in the future I really wanted to make our bathroom bigger. It’s already on our time table. That’s the reason why I am currently obsessed in searching for different bathroom looks and furniture. I just love the cabinets that I chance upon betterbathrooms.com. I showed them to the husband and he told me that they would be perfectly in an upgraded and much larger bathroom. Look…
Tougher Task ...
As a mom you have to planned everything. From your budget to the weekly menu. Menu planning have been a tough task for me because I need to make sure that I feed my little girl healthy food. She prefers eating home cooked meals and colorless. So I don’t cook meals with soy sauce or tomato sauce. But the husband was telling me to make her get used to it because when we went to Kuwait we had a hard time looking for meals to feed her. She always end up eating fries and chicken nuggets. Poor baby! lol. That’s why right now I am experimenting. Added to the fact that I am trying to restrict our meals to no pork and low salt. Well, usually I cooked two meals. One for both her and my older sister and one for me. I always cook veggies with fish for myself. Now that I am suffering from edema and the water retention caused by medicine is getting worse, I am trying to figure out what is the best food to eat. Man, it’s a tougher task that planning a menu! Hopefully I can come up with something less tasty but can be taken by my tummy. haha.
Before I got sick with LUPUS, I was a picker eater. I eat lots of junk and never had taken vitamins. I feel like I am invincible. But when my body started succumbing to LUPUS, I started my quest to healthy living. It isn’t easy but my willingness to live makes my struggles bearable. I started looking for things to cure me aside from the medicine that my doctors prescribed. I am lucky that I was able to find supplements that somehow help me get back to my normal routine despite of Lupus. Until today, I look for supplements/vitamins that would help me. I am thinking of trying the jarrow Formulas in Supervits.com. The question is among the list which would really suit me. They have a lot of supplements that I think would really help me. Also, I am quite curious with the BioAstin, which according to the said site is the most powerful free radical eliminating and singlet oxygen quenching natural antioxidant known to man. This might be good to the husband especially after reading the benefits it would give. Anyway, I have yet to read some more so that I would end up with the right choice. I’ll add the enzymedica to my ‘getting to know’ list.
