Because of what we have experienced last year during the rainy days, my sister and I have been starting to prepare for the rainy days. Funny that we bought flashlights the same day and she told me that she’ll be buying another one for my brother. We have candles at home, plus emergency light and rechargeable electric fan. Then the husband bought me another flashlight, with dim light and radio which can be operated via battery or turning the know manually. I am really praying that the typhoons that would visit our country won’t be as devastating as Ondoy.

Tomorrow is a saturday, it’s a weekend. I wanted to put the word ‘REST DAY’ in my calendar but I know that’s not possible. I have to wash clothes. Two weeks and our washing machine is not yet fixed. The part has not yet arrived but I still have not called the service center for an update. How I wish I could just buy a new one. hahaha. I know I would be buying one within the year. I have a strong feeling. hahaha. Just as strong as the feeling that I would win in a bid on an online auction. There are so many things that we wanted to buy but I told the husband that we should be frugal for a while. Our priority right now is to establish a business. Not that big but just something that would be a practice for us. But for now I have to finish a lot of house chores. From the time the husband arrives until now I have not yet found the time to rest. I hope tomorrow after I wash the clothes

Through experience and through the years, I am learning a lot of things about ‘domesticity’. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far as a housewife and mom. It was not an easy road for me but I treasure everything I learn. From the smallest to the biggest one. The husband commended me for being able to come up with a quick idea of what to cook when his family came over. We thought they were not staying for dinner but we were wrong. Good thing, I had meat and fish on the fridge. And was able to come up with two cooked dishes. Before we would already be asking for delivery. haha. Well, I think I have learned some lessons already.

We slept 7pm. I was so tired. We were running against time yesterday but I am happy because we were able to accomplish two things. We were able to have a quick visit at the Padre Pio church in libis and were able to buy a new fan. The old one is giving up on me already and it does not serve its purpose na. After lunch we head home just in time for the husband to bathe, for me to pack his luggage and go to the airport. The little girl was crying as she saw his daddy go. It breaks my heart. But I am glad that she really understands. And she is holding on to the promise that they will see each other four months from now. Hopefully. thank you for the brief vacation of the husband. It was a memorable one for us. Now, I am awake at this hour and I am hungry. haha.

The birthday party for my little girl at her school was a blast. It was a simple celebration but all the kids had fun. But it was a bit tiring though. Thanks to her wonderful teacher at the school they kept everything in control. It is just my daughter’s 4th birthday so we still have a long way to go, even though some of my older friends have warned me about how fast these years go by! I still have not rested. I have still have laundry to do and it’s all hand washed. Today we are heading to our former office to settle some business. It’s again not a part of our plan. Yesterday, I received a lot of calls and text messages from the HR manager of our former company and also from a former manager. They are looking for my husband. Seems likes there is some compensation that was not given to him when he resigned. We need to go there for the documents. And after that we will visit Padre Pio. I gave my oil to my niece so I need to buy a new one. And later today we will have to say bye again to daddy because he will be heading back to the country where he work. Sigh.

Yesterday we started our day quite calmly. After sending the little girl to school we were able to eat our breakfast in a fast food resto. Then I decided to buy some more fish in the market and then we went home so that I can cook. While cooking, the husband was designing a toy cabinet. We were also discussing the idea of purchasing stuff for our kitchen and dining area. I was telling him that it seems that as years goes by our house is getting smaller. haha. I think it’s time that we really consider putting a second floor to it.

The husband and I are talking about our plans for the future. I was telling him I had some much in my mind right now that I don’t know where to start. He seems happy with it because all the ideas that I have had everything to do with the word BUSINESS. Yeah, I need to move and work. This was written a couple of days back. I think that was last Sunday. We were just supposed eat out but then the husband wanted to watch the Last Airbender and so we came home late and I forgot about my entry. Right now, both of us are excited with the business idea we have in mind. But before that he still have to head back to his place of work first .

I love to chat with fellow moms when I am waiting for the little girl’s dismissal in school. There are times when we would just chat about anything that we fancy until we would discuss interesting topics that involves home improvement, health and taking care of the kids. One time we talked about having money in the bank. Two mom admitted not having a bank account. One said that because of all the expenses, she can barely set aside some savings, so why go to the bank. While the other one, aside from economics, don’t trust the banks. She said she has this practice of putting her money in between the tiles on the floor of their house. I was telling her she gave me an idea. I think I would asked someone to dig a hole in our garage where I will put my valuable jewelries. And if ever I would buy gold bullion, then I can place them too! You see I love gold, not because they are shiny but because they are good investment. I know in the future I can depend on them.
