PhotoHunt 198 : Spotted ...

On our first morning in the island of Coron, we decided to walk along the docks. And our little girl was so delighted to have spotted a star fish.

And so my husband decided to pick it up and help it go back to its home.

Toy Closet ...

I am now planning to have a cabinet/closet be built in our living room area where I can put all the toys of the little girl. Right now all her toys are in a small toy organizer. But not all. Her big pink castle and the mushroom house of her fairy are just lying on the floor. hehe. I am browsing the net for some picture of cabinets that would fit my need and have the carpenter see it so that he can have an idea of what I want. I like this one but it uses a lot of space.

BBQ Grills ...

For this year I vowed to be healthy. I know it’s been the same story over the years but I know for 2010 it would be different. I came to realized that I am not young any longer and with me having LUPUS makes me think really hard of the future. If I really love my family then I should find ways to stay healthy.

Almondigas ...

Since I already posted the easy way to cook spaghetti might as well share the my own recipe for Almondigas. Actually I did not know that it was called that what I know is that I am cooking is Misua with meat balls. This is one of favorite of my family. From the husband down to my siblings. There are times when my sister would request for me to cook it. As always, I won’t put in measurement since I don’t really measure the ingredients. I only trust my instinct. Maybe, that’s the Kapampangan in me. haha.

Market Schedule ...

I really am not sure if I am saving with what I am doing right now. If I am, then maybe I could use what I save to buy some Franke sinks ;) But what I am sure of is that being able to go to the market twice a week prevent me from ordering from fast food. haha. When I go to the market I don’t buy much. I only buy stuff that is good for two to three days. I always like to cook fish and vegetable that are fresh. That’s why even if it’s a bit tiring I still push myself to go out and buy fish and veggies. Especially now that me and my older sister are trying to eat healthy. We are trying not to eat pork. Good luck to us!

Spaghetti ...

It’s the second time this week that I cooked spaghetti. I don’t know why but I am craving for it. And I am craving for spaghetti that is home cooked and not store bought. Actually I could just asked for delivery but somehow the spaghetti from fastfood did not appeal to me. So, I tried cooking it. Just a small portion since the only one who’ll eat it is me and my older sister.

Things to Buy ...

Despite the fact that some malls are still on sale, I am trying my best to avoid buying anything right now. In fact, I wanted a new Coach bag but restrain myself from purchasing one. Just two more months and I would be able to start buying again. haha. Nah, for this year, I really vowed to be thrifty. We need to allocate some funds for our travels and also the car we are planning to buy at the end of this year. For now, I’ll just be contend with what I have because I realized most of the time I just buy things on impulse and in the end I don’t even use them. Also I need to make sure that I have all the budget I can get just in case our travel plans would push through. I wanted to have enough when we go shopping at Ikea. hahaha.

Thinking of Transferring ...

This week I was focused on weighing if I would transfer the little girl to another school next school year or not. Don’t get me wrong, I like the school she is enrolled right now but I am a little bit bothered by their student – teacher ratio. I wanted her to attend a class which has a smaller number of students to make sure that the teachers are really focused on the student. And so I started my quest again. But would you believe that I end up with the decision that I will stick with my little girl’s current school. Funny right ? I guess it boils down to the facility and the proximity of the school to our house.

Torlon ...

Have you ever wondered why some plastic melts when put in heat and there are some that are heat resistant (like microwaveable containers). I sometimes think about that especially when I heat some meals in our microwave. I have a hard time debating which container to used because I am scared that if I used the wrong one I would end up cleaning melted plastic plus wasting our food. Actually there was that incident weeks ago. I was heating a meal in a container that says it’s microwavewable only to find out that the cover is not. So it melted ;) .

Such a Price ...

I am currently checking airfare right now. Actually I am checking websites of airlines with flights to Kuwait everyday. I am looking for the flight with the cheapest fare but unfortunately the cheapest cost around $1700. Urgh! It’s quite a fortune. And this fare is only for me and the little girl. Yes, we will be travelling (just the two of us) without the husband and it really scares me. But the husband is confident with my capabilities to handle things and so from that confidence in me lies my bravery. haha. I just wish we could push through this plan and come April we would be seeing him again. I miss him terribly.
