A minimalist design can be stunning in apartment decorating, creating a modern look that stands out to compelling effect. But it can also look plain or under-done. Make smart decorating choices when creating a minimalist’s look in your apartment, and avoid creating a style that’s way off the mark.

Stick to a Basic Color Palette

Color is important in all redecorating, but it’s the fundamental component of any minimalist design. Essentially, any minimalist design is very basic and simple—a stripped-down look that has few embellishments. You should choose only one or two main colors for your overall scheme and only one or two accent colors. Simple furniture doesn’t translate into plain furniture. You can still add bright color and interest to any room with simple, clean furnishings. Add Accents Sparingly
