Neglected Home! ...
I am so busy right now. When I started going to the gym, working out has occupied my weekday mornings. Before, after I send the little girl to school, I would take advantage of her being inside their classroom, so I would go to the market, cook or clean the house. Her school time is my chore time but now it’s converted to gym time. Well, I haven’t adjusted yet so it’s seems like I am neglected our home and my blogs. Hopefully I can really find time to do all home stuff before we go on a summer vacation. Please Lord please let us on this trip this summer. It would mean big for us to be together for a very long time. Thank you.
I can classify the husband’s gift for me during special occasions – gadgets and jewelry. Well, except for the car that I received this year. Anyway, this year he told me he is going to buy me an iPad mini which I can used for my ebooks or he can just opt for the design your own mothers rings promo. Well, he has been telling for years now that he would eventually buy me diamonds. But I told him that he have to pay for all our loans first before I can happily accept those diamonds. lol. In the end, I told him, I don’t care what his gift is as long as he deliver it to me personally and got to spend two weeks with him. I miss him dearly and I am looking forward to being with him again.
Nuisance! ...
I forgot to blog about this. When we went to Manaog I was totally pissed with the different vendors outside the church. While on the road someone gestured for us to go on a detour. Before that I think I saw a sign that the road we are taking is closed. There are also individuals that are waving at us frantically that I thought we are taking the wrong way. Good thing the husband did not fall for it. Unfortunately, since a guy blocked our way and started waving to us, we decided to follow him. He showed us to a parking space. Even before we went out the car, the vendors kept on flocking us. The man who waved on us offered candles to us. One bundle cost Php 150 and he told us to take two. Then there are those ladies who kept on putting some religious article to my husband’s hand. I was pissed and then I tried to give it back. After giving it back they will hand it again to my husband. It was really getting on my nerves. Then while in church the guard told us that the candles are free inside the church. Urgh! Then we hear an announcement not to park outside the church. Oh, we paid fifty on our parking spot outside the church. Imagine that! Since the husband was not comfortable with the car outside he move it and there was still space inside the church. Yes, it was really frustrating. So if ever you are planning on going to Manaog be sure to avoid those vendors and those pretending to give you ticket for parking.
Every year ever since our daughter was born. I always make it a point that we go on a vacation as a family.I always look forward to planning these vacations because it’s the perfect time to bond and unwind. Most of our family getaway are just inside the county and we only went out of the country once. But of course we planned to change that. After we have explored the beautiful islands of our country we want to go out and look what the world has to offer us. That’s why I always look for affordable private tours which we can avail.
School Poster ...
There is another activity again in the school of the little one last Friday. This time it was like a open house plus some interactive learning. We were asked to accompany the kids and since I cannot go I asked my older brother to take the little one. I am fortunate that every event the school takes a picture of it and post it in Facebook. I also have some mommy friends who posted a lot of pictures and since they know my situation they would also take pictures of my daughter. One mom already posted pictures already and I am so happy to see the kids in the school tarpaulin.
Itching to Clean ...
At this moment I am so itching to clean our room, change our chair slipcover, put on the Christmas tree but I cannot do it and it’s frustrating. Imagine that. Well, thinking about it makes me stand up now and walk. I hope that I won’t be in bed this Christmas and the rehab will do me good. I have lots of hope. But I have to translate those hope into action. I know a lot of people are waiting for me to stand up and get my life back again. I am too. So right now I am fighting my way back with the help of families and friends.
Before I treasure the fact that we are independently living. Me and my four year old live in the house that we own. Daddy would go on a vacation to be with us when work permits. My older sister is here during work week. I cook, I clean, I do everything in the house. And I thought that is the best setup. Until I met an accident. From that day on I realized that independence has its limitation. I now am scared to be alone. And because of this I am now contemplating on what to do. At first I wanted to relocate in the province. But now I am having second thought. Especially when I have limited housing choices. Most of the house are not really of my liking. There are those who windows should be replaced. It would be much better if we have replacement window Maryland but unfortunately we don’t have. Since the husband don’t want to sell, I think if we relocate will end up renting. Oh decisions! If life is only as easy as replacing a window then I guess I can have the best.
Ah thank God the little girl is okay already. Though she has cough and cold but her appetite is back as well as her energetic self. We were able to do her assignment and play around. Yesterday was really stressful because I am always on the edge when she is sick. I cannot help it, I worry. Especially now there are reported cases of dengue near our place. On the other side, almost all the family members of the my older brother’s family have sore eyes. I already told them to submerged their eyes in their palm of flowing water but I don’t know if they did it. That was a preventive measure for sore eyes. I did that yesterday and fortunately I did not acquired the disease. Such a blessing.
Chopsuey according to my friend Wiki (lol!) is a Chinese dish consisting of meats (often chicken, fish, beef, shrimp or pork), cooked quickly with vegetables such as bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery and bound in a starch-thickened sauce. It is typically served with rice but can become the Chinese-American form of chow mein with the addition of stir-fried noodles. And my older sister has been asking me to cook one for her. But just thinking of cooking chopsuey makes me lazy. For one, it has a lot of veggie ingredients. I have to go to the market to pick them out one by one. It seems a huge effort for just a simple menu. lol.
Web Conferencing ...
I take pride in saying that before I gave up my career to be a stay at home mom, I was employed for eight years, straight out of college by an international company who leads the world in computer technology and that, my husband as well is employed by them, first locally and now in one of its branch in the Middle East. That is also the reason why both of us are somehow gadget freak and technology dependent. Lol. We are a big fan of Video conference because that’s how we communicate. It’s our means to bridge the distance because he is working outside the country and it’s also a cheap way to communicate. Not to mention that our daughter can see him through the camera. Technology really has been a big help not only for business but also for personal purposes. Imagine, for those who have family members who are working in different parts of the world. Before they can only talk to each via snail mail. But because of the invention like Audio conferencing they can talk every time they want and not only one on one but two or more participant is present. What a party! But of course, businesses benefit a lot with the innovation. Today, Web conferencing is gaining popularity because you can use it in training. It’s nice to know that a company like Conferencegroup.com offers such services at an inexpensive price. They also have options for translation, transcription, operator and CDs and playback services. Such convenience right? So what are you waiting for. Go and visit them now.
